Weren't you called DECE Atelier?
Yes. We launched as DECE Atelier and became Auvence in September 2026. Same atelier, same hands, same bags, only the name has changed. Some photography and film on this site still shows the DECE mark while we refresh it; bags from our first Auvence production run carry the new mark.
Where are Auvence bags made?
Every Auvence bag is cut and finished by hand in Britain, using chrome-tanned soft-touch leather selected piece by piece, with a jewel-toned suede reverse and solid brass hardware in a warm gold tone.
What does "a numbered edition" mean?
Each colourway of an Auvence bag is released as a small numbered edition, a limited run of individually numbered pieces. When an edition is gone, it closes for good; new editions and colourways follow.
How long does a made-to-order bag take?
Each bag is made when it is ordered and dispatches within two weeks. You'll receive a note when your bag ships, with tracking. UK delivery is tracked and free. We also deliver to the United States, the EU, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates with DHL Express, tracked and free, with duties and taxes included so there is nothing to pay on arrival.
What is a reversible suede bag?
A reversible suede bag is a bag with two finished faces - leather on one side, suede on the other - designed to be worn either way out. The Volta by Auvence is a reversible suede bag with a composed leather exterior and a jewel-toned suede interior: worn leather-out for quiet days, folded at the flap to flash the suede, or turned fully inside-out so the suede becomes the bag. Because both faces are finished to face the world, one bag carries as several.
Can I personalise my bag?
Yes - Auvence offers hand-embossed initials in gold, up to three characters, for £25 in the UK, shown in your local currency on the product page. Personalised pieces are made just for you and cannot be returned.
What is Auvence's returns policy?
Unpersonalised bags can be returned unworn within 30 days of delivery for a full refund - returns are free within the UK, with a prepaid tracked label. For orders outside the UK, return postage is at the customer's cost. Pieces embossed with your initials are made just for you, so they cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.
